Automated Material Issue – first step

My role model in systems and process and in programming is Udayan Banerjee, an IIT Kanpur alumni, gave me the encouragement and support. He was instrumental in designing the Stores Automation. We extended Material planning system to issue material online instead of Material Requisition Slips (MRS) to Production Department, which were produced in the stores to collect the material for the project. This proved an instant success as the issue was smooth and the stores people used to get a list with the requirement with BIN locations to retrieve easily and quickly.
